Every few years an Astrological concept trends in the media. The ‘Saturn Return’ is having its moment and I’ve noticed musicians referencing their Saturn returns in their music.

I wrote about my own Saturn return earlier this week, but to summarize, your Saturn returns when it enters the same Zodiac sign it was in when you were born, catalyzing an awakening to all of the ways you’ve gone adrift and lost sight of who you’re destined to be. It occurs every 27-30 years and it’s life-altering, sometimes painfully so.

To hear artists summarize the effect of one’s Saturn return so beautifully is touching. It’s a specific, yet universal experience, and I’ve drawn a lot of comfort and inspiration from the lyrics I’ve heard.

I thought I would share some of my favorite Saturn songs for those also going through their return or those looking to be comforted by themes of self-reflection and growth. I hope you enjoy (and by enjoy I mean cry in your car!)
