Most people begin their work with Astrology because they are looking for answers. In moments when forward motion feels difficult and the future loses its shape, Astrology can locate sources of hope and possibility. The answers you find in your birth chart won’t bypass difficulty, but they will help you understand where you’re most naturally equipped to find meaning, recalibrate your perspective, and re-engage with what matters.
This kind of spiritual understanding breeds manifestation of your true desires. Manifestation isn’t about magical thinking, it’s about aligning your efforts with your deeper values and natural rhythms and working within your internal architecture.
I have outlined the key chart placements that speak to belief, desire, and connection below. I hope this serves as a helpful guide for manifestation and self-direction. If you have any questions about your own chart, feel free to respond to this email!
Jupiter
Your Capacity for Growth and Confidence
Jupiter’s foundational energy is hope. It governs expansion, belief, and philosophical optimism. When we look to Jupiter for guidance, we surrender to the trust that life has more to offer beyond this moment.
The house Jupiter occupies in your chart shows where you tend to experience growth or generate momentum most easily.
The sign Jupiter is in speaks to the style or approach you take to developing wisdom, finding meaning, or trusting life.
When feeling unanchored, returning to your Jupiter placement can remind you how to trust the path you’re on and lean into your natural momentum.
The Ninth House
Perspective and Long-View Thinking
The ninth house in your natal chart is associated with worldview, belief systems, higher education, and the pursuit of meaning. When you’re overwhelmed by details or immediate concerns, the ninth house is where you zoom out to connect with the bigger picture.
Planets in the ninth house suggest how and where you seek understanding.
The ruler of your ninth house (placidus) can reveal how you construct and reconstruct belief systems when old ones fall apart.
This part of the chart is especially helpful when you feel stuck in the short term. It encourages questions like: What might this mean in a broader context? or How could this experience eventually shape me?
The Eleventh House
Long-Term Goals and Collective Support
The eleventh house is sometimes called the house of hopes and dreams, but it’s less about fantasy and more about intentional direction-setting. It’s also where we engage with our community and look for guidance from the people who hold us accountable to the visions we’re building.
Planets in the eleventh house describe your relationship to collective ideals, innovation, and future-planning.
This is also a house that benefits from social involvement. Friends, collaborators, and chosen networks can be deeply tied to your sense of momentum here.
If you're trying to manifest a goal, especially a long-range or values-driven one, looking at the condition of your eleventh house can be a clarifying exercise.
Neptune
Vision and the Intangible
Neptune gets a mixed reputation in astrology, often associated with illusion or confusion. But at its best, Neptune allows us to engage with inspiration, intuition, and non-linear knowing. It’s where we suspend our rational mind long enough to imagine something different.
Neptune’s placement can describe how you visualize, dream, and feel into the unknown.
It’s worth noting that this energy is best used alongside grounding practices. Neptune helps with envisioning the destination; other placements help with building the road.
In manifestation work, Neptune is about clarity of vision, not in the external sense, but in the inner emotional resonance of the future you’re reaching toward.
The Moon and Manifestation Timing
While the Moon doesn’t govern hope directly, it plays a crucial role in timing and emotional alignment. New Moons, in particular, are useful moments to set intentions, while Full Moons are moments of culmination and release.
Working with the Moon can support manifestation practices in a very practical way by anchoring your goals to a rhythm and giving them room to evolve cyclically.
Consider setting intentions during a New Moon that aspects your Jupiter, 9th or 11th house placements.
Use Full Moons to review progress, clear distractions, or re-align with your purpose.
A Simple Practice
Here’s how you can start using these placements as part of your own reflection or intention-setting process:
Locate Jupiter in your chart. What house is it in? What sign? What does that suggest about how you generate trust or confidence?
Check your 9th and 11th houses. Are there any planets there? Who rules those houses? What kind of goals or perspectives do they point you toward?
Look at Neptune’s placement. How do you engage with dreamwork, imagination, or intuition?
Follow the lunar cycle. Use the Moon as a calendar not to control outcomes, but to bring rhythm and structure to your process.
When hope feels out of reach, these placements can provide an orientation to who you are and what you desire. Sometimes all you need is a small shift in perspective.
