After nearly a month of being sick, cold-and-flu season has left our house (I’m manifesting), and I need to get my life back in order. I love a good reset; it’s an opportunity to address what’s not working and build systems into my week to make my days run more smoothly.
When I feel the urge to recalibrate, I start by identifying the theme of my reset. I want a clear vision of the life I’m cultivating to serve as my inspiration and motivation. For this particular reset, I’m focused on physical wellness, peace, and warmth. I envision nourishing meals, more time to focus on my priorities, and opening my house to friends again.
With this vision as my launch point, here are the areas I’m working on:
Meal Planning

Meal planning/grocery shopping/cooking can feel like a full-time job. Lately, I’ve felt good about our breakfasts and dinners, and I’ve been managing to revitalize leftovers for lunch however, we are lacking in the snack department and could use some easy-to-grab options in the fridge. I would also love to cut down on daily food prep and experiment with meal prep to free up more time during the week.
Reset solutions:
—> Add snacks to my weekly meal plan (I’m thinking: crudités, homemade chicken nuggets, egg bites, potato salad, and cheesy crackers)
—> Dedicate time to meal prep each week to reduce daily cooking
—> Plan meals weekly instead of monthly
Feeling scattered/spread too thin

When I don’t make time for self-care, I start feeling overwhelmed and distracted. I hate how it feels to not show up fully for myself and loved ones. I have truly been pouring from an empty cup lately and need to a) prepare better for my busy weeks and b) work rest into every day.
Reset solutions:
—> Create a nighttime routine to mark the end of my workday and help me ease into rest
—> Schedule time for myself first and practice saying “no” more (even though I love saying “yes”)
Unfocused work
I’ve been working a lot more these days, and while I’m excited about everything I’m doing (this newsletter, Accountable, Accountable Substack, and launching in-person Astrology sessions!!), it can be overwhelming to manage. To juggle less, I’m going to be more intentional with how I use my time, assigning specific days to specific projects.
Reset solutions:
—> Build a schedule that allows me to focus on one area at a time
—> Time my work to have a better understanding of how long tasks take. (I’m hoping this helps me schedule my time better, I will report back!)
—> View my weeks holistically and choose projects accordingly (e.g., not launching in-person sessions during a personally busy week)
Keeping my home clean
While I love the chaos that comes with having a three-year-old and two dogs, it does make it difficult to keep my house organized. I’m hopeful that I can implement some tried-and-true strategies to fix this issue...
Reset solutions:
—> Keep a central “put away” basket in the house. (Shira Gill taught me this and it’s genius.) I toss items in it throughout the day, then walk it around in the evening to return everything to its place.
—> Do one load of laundry a day. Letting it pile up until a “laundry day” is too much! I start a load in the morning, switch it to the dryer later, and fold/put it away in the evening.
—> Have a ‘ten-minute clean up’ every day. I’m always shocked by how much I can get done in ten minutes. Set a timer and get something done, it will feel good!
These categories may seem basic and the solutions obvious, but taking the time to write them out helps me return to homeostasis. Shaking things up to feel more present in my daily life has always paid off for me. Falling out of a routine and craving a new one is a great reminder that every part of life can be fulfilling.
I’m excited to put these solutions into practice and will report back in a few weeks with how it’s going. If you’re doing a reset for Spring, I’d love to hear about it. Reply to this email and tell me what you’re working on!
