My Current Spiritual Routine
Engaging in spirituality has never been more important to me. I feel wide open and more connected to myself and the universe than ever.
The spiritual practices I've developed bring out the best in me. Astrology and The Enneagram inspire me to live authentically and embrace all parts of myself. Faith and gratitude help me stay present and peaceful. Prayer and intention setting keeps me grounded.
As I am fascinated with others' routines (aren't we all?), I thought I would share my spiritual routine with you. I hope it inspires you to connect with your own spirituality and make time in your day to be present with the things that really matter to you.
Much love,
Ellen
My Spiritual Routine
Monthly
On the 1st of every month, I like to sit down with my Astrological transits and reflect on the energy I'll be receiving. I write down the dates of each transit in my day planner along with some notes on what they signify.
From there, I set intentions for my month. I use these intentions as center points for all of my experiences which keeps me in a place of curiosity. For example, if my intention for the month is love, I'm much more likely to notice all of the ways love already exists in my day-to-day life. I believe that we expand whatever we focus on, so intention setting is a great way to create more of what I'm needing.
Once a month I meet with a spiritual director to participate in spiritual direction. Spiritual direction is the practice of being with people as they attempt to deepen their relationship with the divine or learn and grow in their spirituality. I walk away from these meetings feeling centered and inspired.
Weekly
I love to cycle with the moon each week and learn from the different phases. Each phase offers guidance on how to utilize the energy we're receiving and connect with intuitive messages. It's basically my weekly guide to my subconscious (IYKYK).
At the beginning of the week, I choose a book or topic on Astrology or The Enneagram to focus on. This inspires me to continue learning and find new tools to bring to my clients. My current favorites are 'The Contemporary Astrologer's Handbook' by Sue Tompkins, anything written by Suzanne Stabile, and 'The Sacred Enneagram' by Christopher L Heuertz.
Daily
Spending a few minutes in silence every day has been life-changing. My life is busy (and noisy) and I'm always surprised by how much better I feel after sitting in quiet stillness, even if I only have a minute. It is only through silence that we can truly listen to our intuition.
Lately, I've been starting each day in prayer. As someone who has minimal experience with religion, prayer is new to me. I've really enjoyed sending positive energy to my loved ones and asking for the strength to move through life's challenges.
At the end of each day, I take a few moments to write down what I'm grateful for. Ending the day with gratitude reminds me that there is always light to be found, even on the darkest days.
Making time for these things fuels me. I'm inspired daily by the work I do, the people I get to connect with, and the evolution of growth I'm following.
Do you have a spiritual routine? I would love to hear the practices that keep you grounded and connected!
