Let's talk about relationships, boundaries, and Eclipse season...

I am tired.
35 weeks pregnant... thrilled to be here, scared to be here, confident, worried, prepared, unprepared, and tired.
I want to go back in time and punch past Ellen in the face every time she said: “I just want to squeeze this in before the baby comes.” My firm belief in living a life that honors all parts of myself and my energy was overrun by pregnancy hormones and a deep-rooted fear of saying no.
It was a sleepless night last week that I realized I had maybe overestimated myself. After bursting into tears because “I’m so tired but I can’t get comfortable and I have acid reflux and my ligaments hurt and I can’t stop thinking about all of the work I have to do and all of the things I feel are expected of me that I don't want etc, etc, etc,” I made an agreement with myself to let some things go and set some much-needed boundaries.
I know better than to sacrifice my well-being by taking on other people's expectations. I know better than to let my fears about not doing enough distract me from enjoying the life I’m growing. Ironically, the work I’m frantically piling on contains the strong message of honoring yourself, protecting your energy, and living a life that’s a true reflection of who you are. I can’t expect anyone else to do it if I don’t do it myself.
I left my job to pursue my passion this year. I developed coaching programs, started a newsletter, got enneagram certified, created content for YouTube, launched two subscription newsletters, and most importantly, connected with all of you and shared my passion for Astrology.
I’m proud of all of it. I have so much more to give and I know that I won’t be able to give it if I don’t take care of myself first and ask for help when I need it. I know that I’m not singular. Just because my Capricorn Moon wants to power through and get something done doesn’t mean that my Pisces Mars will oblige. Just because my Pisces Mercury would rather die than set boundaries doesn’t mean my Aries Sun is willing to sacrifice my well-being. I’m learning to set parameters for myself, my work, and my relationships so that the different parts of myself can find balance and peace.
The new Eclipse Season is starting on Friday, kick-starting an 18-month growth period that asks us to acknowledge where we need to heal and change. I’m feeling this energy significantly this week, and I’m excited (albeit a little bit nervous) for this opportunity and the support from the universe. I’ve included a special sneak peek into my Moon Guidance subscription newsletter below, which includes a full guide to utilizing the energy we’re receiving from the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse, how to cycle with the Moon, and the astrological significance of eclipses! I hope it serves you well.
You can always reach me via email to talk about anything and everything. I would love to support you in any way I can.
Much love,
Ellen

Welcome to my new segment, ‘Ask Me Anything’ where I answer questions about life with an astrological perspective. (Basically, what having a conversation with me is like if you know me personally ;)
If you’d like to send me a question, you can do so here! All questions are anonymous.
Should I be hesitant or nervous to be in a relationship that’s not astrologically compatible?
I get this question ALL the time! There’s such a huge misconception about Astrological compatibility... Let’s break it down:
Healthy people are compatible with healthy people. Self-awareness, good communication, and a willingness to work together are far more important traits than how compatible your astrological charts are
Synastry, the practice of comparing two charts with a relational perspective, will highlight areas of strength in the relationship as well as areas of challenge. Some couples may have more challenging aspects than others, but the process of understanding your partner’s chart and WHY that challenge is there is a huge part of the solution. Again, a willingness to work together and understand each other is key!
You may be attracted to people who challenge you- and that’s ok! Being in a relationship with more challenging aspects can make you both better communicators, problem solvers, and overall push you to grow and become your best self.
So, to answer your question, use astrological compatibility/Synastry as a TOOL in your relationship instead of a guide to if you should be with someone or not!
You can book a Synastry session with me here to get both you and your partner's full charts, your relationship chart, and a 1.5-hour Zoom call with me to talk through everything.
How much faith do I put in spiritual practices vs. trusting my own intuition?
Great question! In looking at your chart I can see that your need for information is crucial. Having the answers offers you a sense of stability that your restless mind craves. Anyone with an Air Moon sign (Gemini, Libra, Aquarius) will relate! You can work your mind in a million different directions, exploring every aspect and outcome of every choice, but the true answers come from your intuition.
Using spiritual practices to get out of your head and into your intuition and gut feelings will offer you the faith you’re looking for. While any spiritual practice can stimulate thought, the true benefit is found when you can let go of your rational mind and let spirituality guide you.
The spirit is within you.
I hope you enjoyed this ‘Ask Me Anything’! I’m looking forward to reading and answering your questions.

The Scorpio New Moon brought us emotional intensity and now the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Taurus brings us comfort in those same emotions. This Moon’s cycle reminds us that everything worth working for feels difficult in the beginning but there is always peace at the end. The only way out is through.
Taurus’ energy is steadfast, calm, and provides stability in the face of uncertainty. If you’re working through something and if feels like it will never end or you won’t ever heal and move past it, let this grounding energy remind you that it WILL. Things take time, but they will always change and it will be worth it in the end.

Aries
You have enough. You are enough. Finding gratitude in the areas of life you feel you don’t have enough will drastically change your perspective.
Taurus
Step into who you really are and embrace every part of yourself. Notice and address any negative self-talk, limiting beliefs, or insecurities that are holding you back.
Gemini
You won’t find emotional peace until you figure out how to let your mind rest.
Cancer
Put yourself out there and let people support your talents. You deserve recognition but you have to be willing to ask for it.
Leo
Have faith in your work. No amount of stress will get you where you want to go. Optimism and faith yield the best results.
Virgo
Give yourself the freedom to expand and grow. Don’t keep yourself in a box and let the comfort of your routines and habits prevent positive change.
Libra
Allow yourself to explore the darker parts of yourself and express them. You don’t have to hold yourself responsible for maintaining peace in your environment.
Scorpio
Evaluate how you show up for people and how the people in your life show up for you. You can’t heal the wounds in your relationships if you don’t address them.
Sagittarius
The dark and confusing parts of life are what make living so interesting. Ignoring or glossing over the complexities of the world and your own personality will only stunt your experience.
Capricorn
You give so much of yourself to everything that you do. Allow yourself to just BE. Be fully present in your gifts and all that you have to offer and watch people appreciate you just for being yourself.
Aquarius
Finding comfort in your home and your family is becoming more and more important. Notice when you retreat into yourself and instead work on the external triggers that are affecting you. Your only safe place can’t be inside your head.
Pisces
Just because something seems clear in your head doesn’t mean that it’s expressed clearly when you communicate it to someone else. This Eclipse is highlighting your communication with others, how to heal misunderstandings, and be heard by the people in your life who don’t understand you.
